A membership in Lions imply an active humanistic engagement on helping other people.

Lions shall also give the opportunity of development and inspiration 

for each member in an environment, caused on real fellowship.

In Norway we are 14.400 members in more than 500 clubs- which are located in mostly every community in the country. 

The organisation 

MD = Multippeldistrict 104 Norway = Lions in Norway

District 104 A = The district our Club belongs to, (the northernmost part of Norway)

We are now 1184 members in 45 clubs.

The last time we counted, there was 28 members! The club was established on the April 29th. 1975. Our sponsor club was LC Vadsø. The international club number is 30651.

In the Year 2000 we celebrated our 25th anniversary with a great party in Tana! 

The Lions organization, the Clubs and the members represent a great variety. You'll find a lot of different cultures, social systems and traditions in Lions.

But they are all found on a common idelogic foundation and a common aim of our work. 

ABOUT MEMBERSHIP

ACTIVITIES

In the Lions Club there are women and men using their spare time on helping other people. 

The membership is open to anyone, who through their personal engagement, are willing to work according to the Lions Ethic Norm and Dimensions.

A membership in Lions Club Tana og Nesseby can only be made by invitation.

In our statutes the following basic terms of membership are pointed:

Majority age

Good strenght of character 

Good reputation in the community

A member that fullfils his obligations in the Club, will be the one that suggest the new member to the Member Commitee, and he/she will be the godfather/mother of the new member.

Our objects is both; Local, national and international, and will be made as both money matters by collecting money, and silent activities.
